SENT VIA THE STLFILMWIRE:
Lindenwood University is looking for undergraduate students who want to do real graduate work and be part of our team. That person or persons will have the opportunity to work in our new HD studio (Avid spokespersons mentioned it at the NAB convention in Las Vegas this past week), use the P2 tapeless format, train on a Grass Valley switcher, use robotic cameras in our 1200 seat theatre, use HMI lighting, have a Chapman Pee Wee dolly at their disposal, work on Avid’s iNEWS system, edit on Avid and Final Cut Pro, and possibly have access to the new Red camera system in a new Digital Media Arts program (still pending).
This new state-of-the art studio will be good to go in August/September 2008.
You could start before then. We are installing equipment now, and this summer we will begin training on the new formats. You could be a part of something special.
LU will be teaching convergence, backpack journalism, and writing for the web. We have Emmy award-winning writers and producers, former news anchors, and renowned documentary editors teaching classes. You will be able to write, produce, direct, and edit your own programs which might be shown on LUTV, our digital channel on Charter.
If this opportunity sounds like something you might be interested in, please call Peter Carlos at 636.949.4513 or email me at pcarlos@lindenwood.edu for an interview. Let’s do lunch.
