REDNECK CARNAGE update!
Status: In pre-production, shooting slated for March & April. We’re shooting on Canon’s XL2 camera.
We received word that production is a go! Pre-production has begun. We have a complete script and a strong skeleton screw so far. We want interview more than one person for each crew position.
We invite everyone who is interested to join the project and tell us what skill or other resource you have to contribute. Please contact us as soon as possible because the more planning we get done the easier the production will go in the Spring.
Maybe you missed out on the Albino Farm movie. But don’t miss out on THIS one! You help out on our movie and you get a screen credit! It’s that easy!
We have a list of resources we’ll need for the film.. A facility to act as a nuclear power plant, rural areas to shoot outdoors, old houses, modular homes, house-trailer to shoot interiors, a roadside diner, a vacant stretch of paved road, a van or old school bus, a vacant small town setting, medical lab with medical props, military control center (which could be a news center), radio broadcast tower. We could use some old television sets that we will blow up. If you know where we can access any of these (or recommend others), please point us in the right direction!
Principle roles still to be cast:
Man in Black (a typical 1950’s G-man)
A hysterical girl who is rescued
Secondary roles to be cast:
Diner cook (”Mel” type)
Diner waitress (”Flo” type)
Diner regular
Teenage male and two teenage females that turn into zombies
3 teenage hellions who run around doing vandalism
Plus lots of zombie extras!
About the XL2: The Canon XL2 allows you to capture images closer to the finished product than ever before. Work that previously was limited to post-production can be simply and effectively accomplished in the field, in the camcorder. Total image control and the solid foundation of canon optics, interchangeable lens capability and superb canon image processing quality are united in the XL2. The XL2 brings a host of performance and convenience features to this class of video camcorder- benefits that can’t be found in this combination on other high-end video cameras. They include: Image stabilization in the standard lens; dual aspect ratios; various frame rate capabilities; image gamma and detail controls; skin detail control and among others. Never before has so much creative power been put in the hands of the indie filmmaker. Redneck Carnage will be filmed in 24 frames-per-second in widescreen mode for play in theatrical schemes and will be edited for standard presentation in dvd distribution.
We recommend that our cast and crew members view the movie “Repo Man” to get an idea of the tone we hope to set for Redneck Carnage.
Filming is slated for March, April and May of 2008.

Well isn’t that wonderful… Take a look at this:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=d2KtMQx85JI
For the record:
1.) Our movie is Redneck Carnage. We have no affiliation with the Albino Farm movie. Albino Farm was produced by Hollywood and is in post-production. One of the actors in the movie is a friendly rival of mine.
2.) Has anyone ever really figured out what the Albino Farm really was? It might have been a farm with all albino farm animals for all I know.
Even so that was a thoughful video with some very interesting information. Thanks for posting it!
There have been some experienced actors from the St. Louis area who have expressed interest in the Redneck Carnage project. Let me know if there are any locations in and around St. Louis with film friendly businesses who would like to participate. We could use a few good locations. Thanks!

CASTING CALL SUNDAY!
We are conducting an open casting call for all persons who have shown interest in the project THIS SUNDAY (Feb 24th) in the Ozark Room at the Hampton Inn Hotel North at Glenstone and 44 between 10am and 2pm. If you can’t make it we may announce one more call before shooting begins. We have a second option as well…We have decided to also do a YouTube casting call by asking all the interested performers to do a short YouTube video of themselves as the part they are trying out for or if they have not decided upon a specific role, they may direct us to previous work. We do not require casting for zombies although we request that you send an email with your name, ph, age and photo to JohnNoShow@aol.com any time between now and April 1st.
Hope to see many of you Sunday!
