Local Filmmaker Showcase at The Moxie

Springfield, MO, November 8, 2007 – Ten Springfield filmmakers will have their short films shown in November during Moxie Cinema’s second annual Moxie Short Film Celebration. This year the films range from music videos to documentaries and dark comedies. Screenings will be held Friday November 16 – Sunday November 18, 2007.

“Fetish Show” by Ryan Piotrowski

“Paper Darren” by Nate Black and Brandon Goodwin
“This Backyward” by Julie Sonner
“Wake It Up” by Ryan Squibbs

Showtimes are:

Friday November 16 @ 7:00 pm
Saturday November 17 @ 4:30 pm
Sunday November 18 @ 2:00 pm

Judges and audience members will have the chance to vote for Best in Show, Best Student Film, and Audience Favorite Award. Judges include Missouri Film Alliance of Springfield’s President Steve Olson, KY3 Film Critic James Owen, and KSMU news director Missy Shelton.

Tickets are $8 for adults, $6.50 for students and seniors, and $5 for matinees. The films are not rated, but some do include adult language.
