HB327: Missouri Film Production Tax Credit amendment

Dear Friends,

I’m happy to report that HB327 (which had the Missouri Film Production Tax Credit amended to it by Senator Crowell) successfully passed the Senate yesterday. The bill will now head to a joint House and Senate committee to be reconciled. We are therefore one step closer to a successful conclusion regarding the Missouri film production tax credit.

The recommendations of the Commission to retain the $10.5 M cap, but drop the maximum credit for qualified expenses to 35% is reflected in this amended version. I’ve attached a reprint of this portion of HB327 for your records.

My many thanks to everyone who has worked so hard thus far to support this important step in building Missouri’s film production industry and the good jobs and income it will generate for the state. I especially want to thank all the legislators in the House and Senate who have spent so much time and effort supporting the legislation associated with the film production tax credit during the legislative process to this point.

Sincerely,
